Hojrenama
HojreNama is one of the most creative app design projects developed by our studio. Its primary goal is to showcase the location of various shops and businesses across Tehran using an interactive map.
But it goes beyond just location visibility—HojreNama also enables registered businesses to sell their products or services online. Each shop can build a digital storefront and engage with customers directly, merging the essence of traditional bazaars with the efficiency of modern technology.
One of the most recognizable elements in traditional Iranian architecture is the colorful, intricate stained glass windows—known as Orosi and Gereh-Chini. These designs, still seen in the doors and windows of old bazaars, carry deep cultural roots and reflect heritage, authenticity, and timeless beauty.
For the icon of the HojreNama app, we reimagined the universal location pin through the lens of this traditional art. By blending geometric elegance and Iranian ornamentation, we transformed a simple functional icon into a symbol that proudly carries a piece of national identity.
The Iranian interlaced pattern—known for its flexible structure—can be adapted to a variety of base shapes, including circles and squares. This adaptability is clearly reflected in the design of the app icon, where the form sits seamlessly within a modern frame while preserving its traditional roots.
The color palettes were carefully curated from the endless spectrum of hues found in light, nature, and Iranian visual culture. Derived from stained glass, intricate woodwork, and classical painting, these tones bring both authenticity and energy to the brand. Together, they lay the foundation for a cohesive, expandable, and visually captivating identity.
